I have a BS degree from SCSU and have done many things in my life including professionally singing and acting in New York and the tri-state area where I also sang to crowds of over 10,000 people which was very exciting for our Jazz band, but my love of animals has always been an important part of my life. I grew up with a Collie who I surprisingly named Lassie and I credit her with giving me my love of animals. I have over 25 years experience with pet care, obedience training, Reiki Therapy, (I completed all the levels and I am a Reiki Master), previously working as a veterinary technician for several years, dog show exhibiting and handling, breeding, plus simply living and sharing my life with my own pets. My son and I have participated in Pet Therapy with our dogs at nursing homes and hospitals. We also had the privilege of showing our dogs, German Shepherds and Keeshonds, in AKC Obedience and Breed Competitions earning many obedience titles and finishing over 20 dogs to their Championship. This was a wonderful learning opportunity and a fun family hobby we all enjoyed while traveling in our motor home across the country to the dog shows.
